Lanarkshire contracting outfit WMQ Building Services capped a remarkable year by scooping the top prize at this year's SELECT Electrotechnical Awards in association with CABLEtalk.
WMQ's Gordon McArthur is pictured with his prize for being named Electrical Contractor of the Year at the recent Gala Dinner at the Radisson hotel in Glasgow where almost 350 guests gathered to celebrate excellence in the Scottish Electrotechnical industry.
Held on Friday the 17th of October, the Awards have become a firm favourite and are now well established as the most coveted in the industry after only their third year.
Also picking up prizes ion the night were - SJIB/Edmundson Apprentice of the Year:Steven Smith of Aird Walker & Ralston of Kilmarnock; Wholesaler of the Year: SLD Scotland; Best New Product : MK Electric for their Echo Wireless Battery-less light switch; Best Electrical Safety Project: Richard Irvin; Best Customer Service: Heriot Watt University Building Services; Best Use of Marketing: WMQ Building Services and Best Small Contractor: ND Barrett.
Also picking up an award was JIB Chief Executive Ron Allender, who picked up this year’s Lifetime Achievement award.
