SLR has a long and very proud tradition of of being extremeley well represented when it comes to the Scottish publishing industry's top awards ceremony, the Scottish Magazine Awards run by independent publishing body PPA Scotland.

This year was no different as SLR was Highly Commmended in the Business & Professional Magazine of the Year category and SLR Publisher Antony Begley was once again Highly Commended in the key Publisher of the Year Award.

Antony commented: "It's always a really pleasant surprise every year when we make it onto the shortlists because the competition just gets harder and harder every year which means we're up against some of the best known magazines in the business.

"So to see our name next to the likes of Herald & Times Group Magazines, the Times Education Supplement, The List, Big Issue Scotland and The Great Outdoors tells me that we must be doing something right.

"We're obviously disappointed not to have picked up a winner's certificate but it's a great reflection of the team's efforts that we make it onto the shortlists every year."
