55 North is a multi‑award‑winning contract publishing, events and media business founded in 2000 and headquartered in Glasgow.

We now produce regular publications on behalf of major companies in the grocery industry, as well as publish Scottish Local Retailer (SLR) – the only monthly magazine geared towards Scotland’s convenience store owners and a former PPA Scottish Business Magazine of the Year.

Our previous clients include Scottish Enterprise, Argyll & Bute Council, North Ayrshire Council, Clydesdale Bank, Scottish Brewers, Morrison Bowmore, Yorkshire Bank, Jim Beam Brands, Macdonald Hotels plc, Barratt International Resorts, Caledonian Brewery, Scottish Grocers’ Federation and Strathclyde University.

In our own work and that on behalf of clients, we have produced a wide range of publications such as brochures, newsletters, magazines, directories, advertisements, handbooks, annual reports, flyers, newspapers, email marketing, e‑newsletters and websites.

We also have extensive expertise in events hosting, from round‑table discussions to multi‑day international conferences. Our annual SLR Awards, which recognise excellence in the Scottish convenience retailing industry, are now in their 24th year.
