55 North is a multi-award winning publishing, events and media business founded 16 years ago with head office in Glasgow. We own a number of UK and international multiple award-winning trade titles and also publish a variety of regular publications on behalf of a selection of blue chip clients. We also produce around 20 international events each year for these publications, from large 2-day conferences for 600 people to smaller, niche events for more specific audiences.
Our own titles include Scottish Local Retailer (Scotland Wide), Airport Focus InternationaI (Global), Shopping Centre (UK & Ireland Wide) and Database Marketing (Global). SLR is the current PPA Scottish Business Magazine of the Year underpinning our quality journalism standards for business audiences. Under contract we currently produce various magazines and events for clients such as the Scottish Grocers Federation, Wells & Young and GMB.
In addition, we maintain strong partnerships with trade bodies in most industries in which we operate which sees us produce magazines and large events with and for bodies such as the British Council of Shopping Centres (newly re-branded as Revo), the Scottish Grocers’ Federation and the Airport Operators Association.
Past clients have included a range of blue chip clients – Scottish Enterprise, Argyll and Bute Council, North Ayrshire Council, Clydesdale Bank, Scottish Brewers, Morrison Bowmore, Yorkshire Bank, Jim Beam Brands, Macdonald Hotels plc, Barratt International Resorts, Caledonian Brewery and Strathclyde University.

Our current projects range from 2 page inserts and newsletters with print runs of 500 copies, to award-winning 80 page monthly magazines and newsletters with print runs of tens of thousands.
All our publications and events work – editorial, design, event management, circulation, digital, database management and accounts – is carried out by our in-house staff.
